Jukka Lilja: Nightjar - Wings Upright

The mysterious life of the nightjar is described in the book of long-time nature photographer Jukka Lilja. Nightjar – Wings Upright is based upon 35 years of experience of this species (Caprimulgus europaeus), and of about 150 nest sightings around the Ostrobothnia region in Finland.

Nightjar – Wings Upright presents this nocturnal bird by photos and by stories containing completely new information about the species. It also attempts to correct some previous false beliefs about the behaviour of the bird.

The book contains 160 pages and around 170 full-color images with both Finnish and English texts. It is published in December 2017 and can be ordered directly from the publisher.
